With the Turkey Century Education model, it is aimed to integrate the virtuous human profile with characteristics such as being fair, productivity, diligence, helpfulness, morality, patriotism and responsibility into the education and training curricula and making them visible in all in-class and extra-curricular environments. For this purpose, students; While they can acquire values such as responsibility, helpfulness and diligence in in-school activities by including them in the curriculum, they also have the opportunity to acquire them both practically and theoretically through extracurricular activities. In this study, students from 5th to 6th grade were asked to work for a week at a workplace deemed appropriate by their parents as an extra-curricular activity during the summer vacation, and to give some of the money they earned as a result of their work to those in need and spend the other part as they wished. As a result of the activity, it was aimed to determine the responsibility levels of the students. The research is a quasi-experimental study and was designed as a single-group post-test. The sample of the study consists of 27 students studying in the 6th grade boys' class of an imam-hatip secondary school in Kağıthane district of Istanbul. “Social Responsibility Scale for Secondary School Students” was used to collect data. The data obtained was analyzed with the Excel program. According to the findings of the study, it was seen that the social responsibility level of the students (X = 3.06) was above the average. It was determined that the scale's sub-dimensions of cooperation (X=2.82), environmental sensitivity (X=3.22), acting together (X=3.27) and social sensitivity (X=2.96) were above the average. It was observed that the sub-dimension with the highest average was acting together.
